OPERATIONS MANAGER

Chris Deck, PE

An energetic, detail-oriented manager, Chris oversees the operational functions of Steele Foundation. He tracks daily field activities and project schedules to optimize procedures and manage costs. To maximize project efficiency, he coordinates and directs the multiple crews that work on scores of projects of all sizes across the Washington, DC metro region.

The foundation for Chris’s success as Operations Manager began when he joined Steele Foundation in 2011 just out of college. Since then, he has learned the inner workings of the company through his progressive promotions. He started as a project engineer working in the field, performing structural and geotechnical design of sheeting and underpinning projects, estimating, and performing project management. Chris’s geotechnical experience also includes three years as a Field Professional for Halliburton Energy Services, where he supervised on-site Measurement While Drilling processes.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
