J. Andrew (Andy) Steele, PE, D GE

As Steele Foundation president since 2007, Andy drives the leadership and direction of the firm with professionalism, integrity, commitment to quality – and the experience of more than 35 years in the engineering and construction field. Since joining the firm in 1991, Andy has worked on the engineering and construction of nearly 1,000 sheeting, shoring and underpinning projects.

Prior to joining the firm, he performed the structural design of commercial buildings for the engineering firm James Madison Cutts. Previously, he worked for Delon Hampton & Associates, performing structural design of bridges.

Andy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. He is a past director of ADSC The International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC-IAFD), past chairman of its scholarship committee, and past co-chairman of its Geo-Support Committee. He is also active in the Mid-Atlantic chapter of ADSC.
