McLEAN, VA, March 31, 2026 – Steele Foundation LLC, an award-winning engineered foundation construction firm serving the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, announced that its Vice President and Partner, Morgan Eddy, is co-author of an educational presentation for the 35th Annual Central Pennsylvania Geotechnical Conference. “This conference brings together a strong cross-section of the geotechnical community, making it an ideal forum for sharing best practices and lessons learned in the field,” said Eddy. “Our presentation highlights a challenging slope stabilization effort and the insights gained through close coordination between design and construction teams.”
Eddy is a co-author of the following presentation, scheduled for April 17:
- Presentation: “Stabilizing a Failed Slope in an 80-Year-Old Apartment Complex – Design and Construction of a Permanent Soldier Pile, Precast Panel, and Tieback Wall”
- Date | Time: April 17 | 10:30 a.m.
- Presenter: Paul Landers, Senior Project Manager/Branch Manager at GEI Consultants
- Co-Authors: Morgan Eddy; Paul Landers; and Fred Tarquinio, Division Manager JG Contracting Company, Inc.
- Description: A major slope failure in Northern Virginia threatened adjacent structures and infrastructure, requiring immediate assessment and innovative stabilization.
